Wrapping Up The Seahawks Preseason

The truth about football in August is that it gives little to no indication of what’s going to happen during the regular season. Still, with their preseason in the books, let’s look at where the Seahawks stand going into week 1.

Positives:
1) Hasslebeck is healthy. This may be nfl jerseys
Matt Hasslebeck’s last hurrah. He’s bruised, beaten and when healthy, talented and savvy. The ‘Hawks have been in disarray recently because of Hasselbeck’s inability to stay on the field. It remains to be seen whether he’s the QB he once was, but for one more season, he should give Seattle fans hope.
2) The Pass Rush Is There. For the Seahawks defense to be successful, their pass rush needs to dominate. When they play at home, opposing offensive lines are at a major disadvantage because of the noise, but for the past two seasons the rush hasn’t worked. They’ve Minnesota Vikings jersey
had a different, more effective rush this year. Chris Clemons has been the standout so far, but all of their ends have been constantly getting in the opposing backfield. Say what you want about the competition they faced, but this is a good sign moving forward for this defense.

Negatives:
1) TJ,TJ,TJ: TJ Houshmanzadeh was certainly overpaid. TJ Houshmanzadeh did not produce like he needed to last year. And TJ Houshmanzadeh certainly did not deserve to be cut, especially when you look at the other receivers on this roster. Look I’m happy Mike Williams and Pete Carroll have such a nice relationship. Deion Branch still on this team? My guess is Houshmanzadeh was cut more for his mouth than his play. That’s fine on the Colts or Patriots where they bleed wide-outs. For a team which relies on their passing attack, yet has no good pass-catchers, not so much.
